The Journey 5km by WinField United Canada run/walk was created to support mental health and combat burnout of staff and partners heading into the busy growing season. Participants simply run/walk 5 km, have open discussions about mental health, and check in with family, friends and co-workers.

HOW WE DO MORE.

This year, Journey 5km is taking a more local approach, focusing on the farming communities that keep our industry strong. While we won’t be offering the Journey 5km wellness app this year, the heart of the campaign remains the same: encouraging you to take the time for yourself and prioritize mental wellness. As we head into the busy growing season, it’s easy to put your own well-being on the back burner. But your mental health matters just as much as the work you do.

The Do More Agriculture Foundation is the champion of mental wellbeing of those in the Canadian agriculture industry and are changing the culture of Agriculture to one where all are encouraged, supported and empowered to take care of their mental wellbeing.

Agriculture is an industry with a foundation of deep rural roots, hard work, resilience, strength and community. In order to uphold that image, those traits can also be the industry’s weakness as they become barriers for speaking up and seeking help. Those in the Canadian agriculture industry are among the most vulnerable when it comes to mental health issues. Stress, anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion and burnout are all high in the industry. By collaborating with the entire industry and those working to address the state of mental health in Agriculture, we can and will make a substantial impact!

Journey 5km Shirts

Back by popular demand! You can order your very own Journey 5km shirt. Not only will you be race day ready in style, but for every shirt sold, WinField United Canada will donate $10 to The Do More Agriculture Foundation—so you’re supporting a great cause too.

To receive your shirt in time for event week starting April 20, be sure to place your order by March 25. Orders placed after that date are still welcome, but we can’t guarantee delivery before event week—you’ll still have it ready for next year or as a great way to show your support all year long though!

Journey 5km is for anyone and everyone – whether you work in agriculture or not. We encourage you to engage friends, family and coworkers!

What does it involve?

Record your journey as you prepare and complete a 5km walk or run. It’s as competitive as you want it to be

Where does it take place?

Journey 5km is a virtual event, so you can participate from anywhere (and in any way) that works for you.

The Journey 5km event runs from April 20 to 26, 2026. Kick off the event week with us and The Do More Agriculture Foundation by signing up for the Mental Health Webinar on April 20 at 10 am CST.

Mental Health Webinar

To kick off the Journey 5km preparation, WinField United Canada and The Do More Agriculture Foundation will host a Mental Health Webinar at 10 am CST on Monday, April 20, 2026. This webinar titled ‘Stay Within the Listen’ aims to provide valuable insights and resources for mental health in agriculture, preparing participants for the upcoming farming season.

Gear up, manufacturers! We're keeping tabs on participation from our valued partners, and the manufacturer with the most Journey 5km participants will clinch the prestigious title and earn the ultimate reward: an awesome trophy to proudly display in their case and flaunt over the competition. SLOW AND STEADY
Hey, it’s OK - what matters is you did it! This award celebrates the determination and perseverance of our participants who took it slow and steady. Whether you finished the 5km in record time or took a leisurely stroll, every step counts. This award will go to the participant with the slowest logged time because we are incredibly proud of your commitment and dedication to completing the Journey 5km. Whether you’re strutting in coordinated outfits, rocking matching Crocs (bold choice, respect), or going full-on fashion runway while logging those km’s, this award is for the most stylish mover(s) out there. As an individual or team, show us your best-dressed moments—bonus points if your outfit is both fabulous and functional.
